No. You can only put the CRS mark and registration number on your product once the official certificate has been issued by BIS. Pre-marking is prohibited and punishable.
No. The certificate is not transferable. If another company wishes to sell the product under their label, they would need to apply individually, even for the same product.
The manufacturer (or AIR for overseas brands) needs to renew the CRS certificate prior to expiry. If the certificate expires, the product is rendered non-compliant to be sold in India.
